I have tried out carrots, and this was not wonderful, but for everything else i tried out (tomatoes, cucumber, cabbage, potato and cheese) it labored fantastic. When you check out to reduce harder vegetables, the primary pushing section does appear up/off at times. I would enjoy if it has a ‘lid’ attachment so i could also use the container to store issues in, probably in a future model?.

    We love home-made hash browns and have persevered with shredding the potatoes using a large cheese grater for a while now. Using this slicer is so much easier and less messy as the sliced veg goes straight into the box underneath. I really love that everything packs away into this box when you’re done with it – makes for a tidy kitchen cupboard.

     i’m quite impressed with this slicer. I’ve used it to cut onions, cucumber and cheese so far and it’s worked just fine, it makes preparing food much quicker and no tears with onions 🙂 i also like that everything can fit inside for better storage.

    But the problem is the safety hand guard sometimes slips to the side while slicing veg. Or the metal needles bit hit the blade when you press hard to hold veg.

     i loved this mandolin slicer, i bought it to make small fried potato snacks called pomme frites. And also to help me slice up salads for coleslaw. It came with a safety handle which you jab into the vegetable, and then you start slicing. It was very simple and fun to use. And the best part is it came with a container on the bottom of the mandolin, so unlike older more traditional ones, this catches all the foods you slice. It has several attatchments for different types of slicing, contained in a neat little box. This is great for my cooking needs.

    I always end up to be the one cutting vegetables when we cook something and this slicer makes it less time consuming and easier to get my onions, cucambers and other vegetable in slices. I find it easy to use and wash, but have to be careful around the blades as they are sharp. We have a small kitchen, but it’s compact enough and wont take up much of the space. It’s perferct if you want to do more vegtable based dishes and eat heltier.
